Paul Baiocchi
Chief ETF Strategist
Paul Baiocchi is the Chief ETF Strategist at SS&C ALPS Advisors, spearheading the firm’s distribution strategy and execution for the ETF suite as well as the Select Sector SPDRs lineup of ETFs. Paul works closely with the distribution, research and marketing teams to tailor the firm’s messaging and client facing content for the varied needs of a range of investor types. In addition to providing subject matter expertise in client meetings, Paul supports the marketing and PR teams while also aiding the research efforts of SS&C ALPS Advisors and Select Sector SPDRs.
Prior to joining the firm, Paul was Vice President of ETF Business Development at Fidelity Institutional Asset Management where he helped build and grow the firm’s ETF lineup for six years while developing sales and messaging strategies for sector investing. Previously, he worked at ETF.com, building an ETF analytics platform, writing about the ETF industry and moderating panels at Inside ETFs conferences. Paul has been in the financial services industry for 20 years. He is a CFA charter holder, holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University at Chico.
Richard Baker
Director of Research, Real Assets and Alternatives
With over 10 years of investment management and research experience, Richard Baker brings unique and diverse insights to SS&C ALPS Advisors and his research and product management role overseeing fixed income, credit, private equity, hedged equity, real estate and commodities strategies. He has played key roles in broadening the investment solutions of SS&C ALPS Advisors and led launch and product administration efforts in fixed income, private equity, credit and real estate strategies.
Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Richard was a consulting manager at Deloitte Consulting where he led strategy and business transformation projects for financial services, health care and retail clients. He was also a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for multiple firms where he led technology transformation initiatives. Additionally, he held roles in product management, business development, and sales for technology firms.
Richard earned his MBA from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and BS in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati.
Warren Beth
Chief Equity Strategist
Mr. Beth is the Chief Equity Strategist for the SS&C ALPS Advisors Multi-Asset Research Team. He is an integral part of the organization, providing leadership for equity positioning and research. Warren has over 10 years of investment experience, formerly as a Research Analyst for Red Rocks Capital (acquired in 2015) which he joined in 2013. Prior to Red Rocks Capital, he worked on two other mutual funds in an administrative capacity. Throughout his work experience, Warren has developed a comprehensive understanding of the various financial markets including private and public equities, real estate and debt.
Warren is a Chartered Financial Analyst, earning his designation in 2017. He also received an MBA from the University of Denver in 2013 and a BA in English from the University of Alabama in 2008.
Dan Dolan
SVP, Select Sector SPDRs
Dan Dolan is currently a SVP and Director of Wealth Management Strategies for Select Sector SPDRs. In this role, he is responsible for developing strategies for Select Sector SPDRs and talking with financial advisors, planners, traders and portfolio managers regarding implementation.
Prior to Select Sector SPDRs, Dan spent 18 years at Merrill Lynch in various equity related positions. He received his MBA in International Finance from Fordham University and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego with a BS in Business Administration.
Andrew Drummond
VP, Portfolio Manager
In his current role as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for SS&C ALPS Advisors, Andrew Drummond brings over 30 years of investment experience across several investment products and strategies. From global equities, value and growth equity investing, global corporate debt, to private equity and debt, Andrew applies his unique background of debt and equity experience to his current role and the continued success of the SS&C ALPS Advisors private equity and asset management teams.
Prior to joining Red Rocks Capital in 2007 (acquired in 2015), Andrew was a Portfolio Manager at Sargent, Bickham Lagudis (now Lido Advisors) in Boulder, Colorado. Previously, he was an Equity Analyst for Berger Financial Group (acquired by Janus) and a Fixed Income Analyst for Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association (PERA). He began his investment management career at The Boston Company Asset Management in 1992 (now Mellon Investments Company).
Andrew received his MS in Finance from the University of Denver and his BS in Finance from the University of Colorado.
Alex Hagmeyer
Sr. Director Quantitative Research
Alex Hagmeyer joined SS&C ALPS Advisors in May 2020 and serves as Director of Quantitative Research. In this role Alex is responsible for the quantitative research team supporting investment research, manager oversight, model portfolios and advisor tools. Prior to joining SS&C ALPS Advisors, Alex served for seven years as VP, Quantitative Research at Franklin Templeton Investments, where he worked with multiple investment teams to build bespoke portfolio management tools ranging from factor analysis to portfolio construction and risk management. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Alex worked for six years as a Senior Quantitative Analyst for Quantitative Services Group (now S&P Global), focusing on global stock selection models and transaction cost analysis. Alex graduated from Miami University with a BA in Microbiology and Minor in Molecular Biology.
Michael Herrera
Manager, Fund Operations
Michael Herrera joined the firm in 2022 and is currently the Manager of Fund Operations. As part of his role he serves as Assistant Treasurer of certain ALPS Advisors’ proprietary trusts. Prior to joining the firm Michael spent three years with Clearwater Analytics as a Reconciliation Team Lead and as an Analyst in charge of implementing new clients. Michael also previously held positions with SS&C ALPS Fund Services including Fund Controller and Fund Accounting Supervisor.
Michael has over 16 years financial services experience and holds an MS in Accounting from Colorado State University and a BS in Finance from the University of Colorado.
Eric Hewitt
Chief Investment Officer
Eric Hewitt has 25 years of investment management experience. Before taking on the Chief Investment Officer role for SS&C ALPS Advisors, Eric was a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst on the Value and Income Team at OppenheimerFunds on four different equity and balanced strategies. Over his career, Eric has run long/short hedged equity strategies, and was Co-Portfolio Manager and Co-Sector Head for AllianceBernstein’s global consumer strategies and team.
Eric earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Finance and a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he double majored in Political Science and International Relations.
Andy Hicks
SVP, Director of ETF Portfolio Management, Trading & Research
Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Andy Hicks was a Senior Equity Trader and Research Analyst with Virtus Investment Partners in New York City, specializing in equity and ETF trading, as well as global equity research. From 2000 to 2011, Andy was an Equity Trader and Equity Research Analyst at SCM Advisors in San Francisco, an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners. With over 20 years of experience, Andy began his career in semiconductor equity research at Citi after receiving his accounting degree from Miami University (Ohio). He also holds an MBA-Finance from the University of Colorado-Denver.
Rob McClure
Director of Research
Rob McClure joined SS&C ALPS Advisors in January 2020 and serves as a Director of Research. In this role, Rob is responsible for investment manager research and oversight as well as sales and distribution support and new product development. Prior to joining the firm, Rob served for five years as Client Portfolio Manager at OppenheimerFunds, where he worked closely with the firm’s distribution organization to represent Oppenheimer’s domestic value equity team with external clients. Prior to joining OppenheimerFunds, Rob spent 17 years as a Director in the HOLT division at Credit Suisse in New York, where he led a team focused on providing HOLT’s proprietary corporate performance and valuation platform to hedge funds, mutual funds and pension funds.
Rob holds an MBA from Loyola University – Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign.
Gina Meyer
VP, Fund Operations
Gina joined the firm in October 2023 as Vice President of Fund Operations and currently serves as Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer of certain ALPS Advisors’ proprietary trusts. Prior to her current role, Gina held positions, including Client Relationship Manager and Fund Controller for SS&C ALPS Fund Services. Before joining ALPS in 2012, Gina worked for Jackson National Asset Management as a Fund Accounting Manager.
Gina has over 20 years of financial services experience and received her MS in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago and a BS in Accounting from Missouri State University.
Ryan Mischker
SVP, Portfolio Management & Research
Ryan Mischker is a SVP of Portfolio Management and Research at SS&C ALPS Advisors. Since March 2015, Ryan has been responsible for the refinement and implementation of the equity portfolio management process. Prior to this role, Ryan served as Compliance Manager, where he was primarily responsible for managing all post-trade monitoring for IRS, SEC and registration statement investment guidelines and restrictions.
Ryan has over 20 years financial services experience and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS in Finance and BA in Economics.
Christopher Murphy
Director & Head of Advisor Marketing
Christopher Murphy has over 25 years of financial services experience behind his integrated solutions and digital marketing platform. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Chris began his career at ARM Financial Group in Columbus, OH followed by six years at Invesco leading the firm’s Internet Team. Chris earned a BA from Eastern Washington University where he double majored in Communications and Psychology.
Richard Platt
Director of Sales & Business Intelligence
Richard Platt III is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. After receiving his MBA from Regis University, he began his career in the finance industry, which now spans 23 years. His resume includes Charles Schwab, OppenheimerFunds, Transamerica Investments and currently with SS&C ALPS Advisors for more than ten years. As the Director of Sales & Business Intelligence, Rich leads a National Team of Investment Consultants and also heads the Business Intelligence Team.

Chris Proctor
Director, Fixed Income Research
Chris Proctor, CFA, currently serves as Director of Fixed Income Research for SS&C ALPS Advisors, supporting the firm’s income and volatility investment solutions. Previously, Chris spent 12 years at OppenheimerFunds, where he served in various roles as Head of Credit Research, Portfolio Manager and Team Leader for cash management and short duration fixed income strategies.
During his 30-year investment career, Chris has launched and managed a number of innovative fixed income products to help clients earn attractive risk adjusted returns. He holds a BA in Economics from Trinity University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Erich Rettinger
VP, Fund Operations
Erich Rettinger joined the firm in 2021 and is currently Vice President of Fund Operations, serving as the Treasurer and President within the ALPS Advisors’ proprietary trusts. Prior to his current role, Erich was the Fund Controller and Fund Accounting Supervisor for SS&C ALPS Fund Services.
Erich has over 16 years financial services experience and received his BS in Finance from Colorado State University.
Gary Ross
Head of Strategic and Platform Relationships
Gary Ross has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry, joining SS&C ALPS Advisors in 2013. In this role, Gary is responsible for leading the relationship team associated with the strategically critical home office, platform and other institutional relationships for the ETF, mutual fund and variable insurance product lines.
Prior to joining the firm, Gary held a number of key senior distribution positions in the asset management industry including the Head of Global Private Wealth Distribution at Turner Investment Partners and the Head of National Sales for the Broker Dealer channel at Columbia Management. Earlier in his career, Gary was a top performing wholesaler for John Hancock Funds covering NYC.
Gary earned a BS in Aviation Sciences from Bridgewater State University, but transitioned to a career in finance after graduation. He currently holds multiple FINRA and NFA securities licenses.
Laton Spahr
President & Portfolio Manager
Laton Spahr, CFA, currently serves as President of SS&C ALPS Advisors. With his experience in the investment industry, Laton brings fresh insight and creative leadership strategies to his role.
Laton has 26 years of investment management experience. Before taking the helm of SS&C ALPS Advisors, Laton led the Value and Income Team at OppenheimerFunds where he was Portfolio Manager for four different equity and multi-asset strategies. Prior to OppenheimerFunds, he was a leader at Columbia Management Investment Advisors, where he managed value and income strategies across institutional and retail investment channels. Over his career, Laton also conducted equity risk management, analyzed and traded derivatives, structured products and was a technology sector analyst.
Laton earned his MS in Finance from the Applied Securities Analysis Program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a BS in Finance from the University of Wyoming.
Matt Sutula
Chief Compliance Officer
Matt Sutula currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer of SS&C ALPS Advisors. He joined the firm in 2012 and prior to his current role held other positions, including Compliance Manager and Senior Compliance Analyst, for SS&C ALPS Advisors, as well as Compliance Analyst for SS&C ALPS Fund Services. Prior to joining SS&C ALPS, Matt spent seven years at Morningstar in various analyst roles supporting the registered investment company databases.
Matt received his BA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses and is also a certified Financial Risk Manager and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charter holder.
Stephanie Gremban Tyler
Associate Director of Advisor Marketing
Stephanie Gremban Tyler joined the SS&C ALPS Advisors team in 2021 and is currently the Associate Director of Advisor Marketing. She brings a blend of experiences to her role including financial operations, graphic design, marketing technology and digital marketing strategies. Prior to joining the SS&C ALPS Advisors team, Stephanie started with SS&C ALPS Fund Services in 2012, where she held several positions including Graphic Production Supervisor and Senior Project Manager.
Stephanie earned an MBA from Sonoma State University and a BS in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of Colorado Denver. Stephanie is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Jimmy Wenger
Research Analyst
Jimmy joined the firm in 2017 and currently serves as a Research Analyst within the Multi-Asset Research Team of SS&C ALPS Advisors, focused on real assets. Previously, Jimmy served as a Financial Analyst on the Expense Team for SS&C ALPS Fund Services. Jimmy holds an MS in Finance and Risk Management from the University of Colorado Denver and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.
