Our Accessibility Commitment

At SS&C ALPS Advisors, we are committed to making our websites and digital services accessible and user-friendly for everyone. We strive to ensure that all individuals—regardless of ability, age or technology—can access our digital content. Our ongoing efforts aim to create an inclusive experience for the broadest possible audience.

Accessibility Standards

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international public-interest non-profit organization that develops standards for the world wide web. W3C’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops strategies, standards and supporting resources, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), to make the web accessible to people with disabilities.

Our aspiration is to be fully AA level compliant with WCAG version 2.1. This means that we strive to make our websites and digital services perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, specifically:

  • Text and the overall website user interface is as simple as possible to understand.
  • Text alternatives ("alt text") are used to convey the purpose of images, illustrations, charts, etc.
  • Transcripts and captions are provided for multimedia content.
  • Sufficient color contrast is used to help with readability and color alone is not used to convey information.
  • Navigation options are clear, consistent and can be carried out using speech recognition software and/or keyboards.
  • Most of the website can be read aloud by a screen reader.
  • The website supports mobile device accessibility with features like responsive design, orientation support (content works in both portrait and landscape modes) and gesture support (content supports swipes, pinches and taps).
  • Except for captions and images of text, text can be resized without assistive technology up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Instructions for submission forms and guidance for error messages are clear and easy to understand.

Our Approach to Accessibility

We are continuously enhancing our digital design system—a comprehensive library of accessible and inclusive components, styles and templates. This design system enables us to build and improve websites and digital services with accessibility in mind from the start of each project.

We routinely assess our accessibility through regular audits and automated testing tools.

While we are committed to providing the highest level of accessibility, we recognize there are areas that do not yet fully meet our standards, and we are actively working to address these over time.

Areas of our websites and digital services that may not be fully accessible:

  • Documents that are in PDF format may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.
  • Not all images have alternative text descriptions.
  • Some areas of our websites may not be fully navigable using just a keyboard or when using a screen reader.
  • Data tables may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.

Our Accessibility Roadmap

We recognize the critical role of accessibility and are dedicated to delivering websites and digital services that are inclusive and user-friendly for all.

As accessibility standards and user expectations evolve, we are committed to advancing at the same pace. Our plans to achieve this include:

  • We will treat accessibility as a core requirement in the development of all new and existing websites and digital services.
  • We will continually improve our design system to support the creation of content that is accessible, inclusive and easy to use.
  • We will continue to audit our content and use industry-standard accessibility testing tools.
  • We will enhance our team's understanding and expertise in accessibility through ongoing communication and targeted training.
